Getting a job

I've had my eye on the job situation for a while now. I must admit to being very picky in what I'm choosing as I am a strong believer that we must get settled into something we want, rather than just getting a job for the sake of it to get the money in. As a result I've been monitoring 4 organisations from the Christchurch area that I've identified as being suitable employers.

As luck would have it 3 of them have appropriate jobs on offer this week. Technically its 2 that I can apply for as the one is 6 months temporary contract for secondment cover. Still its a step in the right direction, even though it meant hunting out and revising CV's, completing application forms and writing covering letters.

Fingers crossed.

My Room

I can't wait to see what New Zealand is like. I have heard so much good stuff like you can drive at the age of 15 i think instead of 17 (guess that's not that good to Mum and Dad).

We have been watching programmes such as "Wanted Down Under" where some people have had a chance to go see the country they are thinking of moving too and we have seen lots about people wanting to move to New Zealand. They say the shopping is better in England but everyone turns out to go to New Zealand in the end.

I am hoping to get a really big house and my bedroom will be like a jaffacake it will be brown and orange. Now most of you will be thinking ewwww gross but not in this mind of mine - LOL. The two walls will be brown and the others a nice orangey colour that will mix and not clash. I will have a laminated wooden floor that will most certainly not clash, and a double bed with a brown cover and one row of orange spots at the top on my walls. I will have a big picture divided into 4 little parts of orange spots in a brown background on the orange side and brown spots in an orange background on the brown side. I will have wood chest of draws to keep my clothes in, with a mirror on it, a wooden wardrobe (but they are not turn the handle and pull) it will be long, thin, handles that you just pull, which will open the doors. The windows will be on the brown side with orange curtains (brown spots on them of course) and a round brown rug on the floor with thin orange circles going in it, right to the middle although not connected but seperate.

A wooden table to work on such as homework and making cards, then a glass table with photos on. I hope i do get my dream bedroom but its probably unlikely at the beginning. I will probably have to wait a couple of years because we won't have very much money from buying the house, paying the rent for the holiday house, and sort of thing while we settle in the country after the flight. So after a couple of years it might come true. (when i have probably forgot it)..... Kidding.

I can't wait i really wanna try and work this out

About New Zealand

Hi Dad, Abi, Georgia and Mom. I hope we are going to stay there if we like it.

How i feel about moving to the other side of the world

I am fine with the fact that we are moving to New Zealand it will give us three kids a chance to experience life and what it is all about, of course i will miss my family but will can all keep in touch with each other on MSN, emails and letters. At first i thought it was going to be a mistake but that was before i new anything about. We will have a better life and be altogether. In past times i have sat on my bed and cried about it because i felt guilty leaving the rest of my family, but we will still keep in touch and that's what matters. I am happy that i am getting a chance to do this most people wouldn't get to, although i am happy it doesn't mean that i don't care anymore it just means that i won't spend the rest of my life being miserable. I am happy i am giving it a try!
